Tonight, we had a talk from the people at the Alloway Tunnel Project - "from conception to birth”.

The presenters described the transformation of an old, dilapidated tunnel that had been defaced with graffiti, into a safe, inspiring place, with a beautiful hand painted mural.

We learned how funding and a lot of hard work has allowed the project to grow from the initial ideas and sketches to the magnificent feature it is now. Big thanks to artist Chris Rutterford and the trustees Shelagh McLachlan and William McKinlay for a brilliant evening.
